Another terrific dram from the Sutherland distillery of Clynelish. Originally developed as a sister distillery to the soon to be reopened Brora, Clynelish has taken on a style and following of its own, and can certainly be called one of Scotland’s cult distilleries.

This beautiful bottling was created by the Ultimate Whisky Company. A cask strength single malt first distilled in 2008, this whisky has matured in a single Bourbon barrel (cask 800091) for 9 years. Youthful and feisty, drinkers should expect notes of waxy minerality, warming spice and some delicious Bourbon vanilla flavours. The whisky is bottled at a huge 59% ABV, and without either chill filtration or artificial colouring; giving the flavours and mouth-feel a real boost. Stocks of this single cask whisky are highly limited, with merely 212 bottles available worldwide. A powerful and surprisingly complex young Clynelish.
