Produced by the Chugoku Jozo company, who have been making sake since 1963. The company is found in Hatsukaichi City, in the Hiroshima Prefecture. The company are famous for being the first to release an alcoholic beverage in a juice-carton style container.

This bottling is one of their best known offerings. It is named Misen after the tallest mountain on Miyajima Island.

Chugoku Jozo use only rice and water from the Hiroshima Prefecture to make their sake. They polish their rice down to about one third of its original weight, and ferment it quickly with clear soft water and specially selected yeasts.

The final flavour is smooth and soft, with delicate flavours of pressed flowers, white peach, grapes, coconut and spice.

A high quality Sake, perfect for serving with white fish or prawns.
