A secretive bottling from Château du Breuil, little is known about what exactly goes into this Calvados.
What we do know is that it was created as an illustration of the abilities of the Château’s cellar master and distillers, and that the spirit contained is some of the oldest in the Breuil reserves.
Breuil naturally ferment their cider from apples grown in the Pays d’Auge region, an area rich in clay-heavy soil, perfect for cultivation of apples. The cider is then double distilled, producing a purer spirit.
“Royal” is a decadent, luxurious Calvados, that delivers flavours of oak paneling, leather, dried fruits, apple pie, cinnamon, brandy, coconut, juicy apple, toffee, nutmeg, slight coffee, tobacco smoke and subtle dark chocolate.
The Calvados is beautifully presented in a gold-accented bottle, with a traditional wax and cork closure.
