Cardhu Amber Rock’s name refers to the Gaelic translation of the word ’cardhu’ which means “black rock”. After its initial maturation, this whisky is then transferred to a set of toasted American oak casks, seasoned with bourbon whiskey. This finishing period adds a slight creaminess and vanilla sweetness to the already quite balanced malt.
