A delightfully light and accessible rum from the excellent Cane Island independent bottling company. This bottling forms part of their Single Island Blend series.
This blended rum has been produced using molasses, distilled in a column still, though the distilleries in the blend remain a mystery!
Carrying a very decent age, this Cuban rum has matured in American White Oak casks for between 3-5 years. The maturation has occurred entirely in the Caribbean, with the tropical climate meaning the spirit extracts flavour from the cask faster.
The end product is a lovely blended rum with a light body. Drinkers can expect flavours of toffee, vanilla, clear honey, tobacco, bananas, woodspice and milk chocolate.
