Bruichladdich 22 Year Old 1991 (Cask #2771 & #2781 & #2782) - Gordon & MacPhail (Cask Strength)
70 cl, 52.4%

A beautiful 22 year old whisky from Bruichladdich, bottled by veteran blenders and bottlers, Gordon and Macphail. Over the years, G&M’s Cask Strength range has developed an excellent reputation for maintaining quality and value. This bottle continues in the same vein.

A lovely refill sherry matured whisky, this bottling was drawn from just three butts (numbers 2771, 2781 and 2782) making it a genuinely small batch whisky. The spirit was distilled on the 9th of October 1991 and bottled on the 28th of May 2014, giving it an age of 22 years.

This is a truly delicious dram, with the refill sherry influence subtle yet strong. Drinkers can expect lots of classic Bruichladdich creamy fruits and flowers with this dram, accompanied by dried fruit, sweet grapes, spices, dusty oak, toffee and vanilla. This is a whisky of precision and poise, with superb balance.

This whisky bottled at a warming cask strength of 52.4% ABV, and without chill filtration and artificial colouring.

Not one that Bruichladdich fans will want to miss out on, this bottling is truly a delight for the senses.
