An original flavour from Bols, first launched in the 19th century. The name translates as ‘Perfect Love’ and hopefully that’s what drinkers will feel as they sip this floral concoction.
Made with flower petals, particularly rose and violets, vanilla, orange peel and almonds, it is rather more complex than the more common crème de violette.
The final result is a super floral liqueur, with a deep purple colour. Notes of parma violet, flowers, orange zest, marzipan and rosewater greet the drinker, with some slight vanilla flavours building.
This could be used in place of crème de violette, but Parfait Amour is called for especially in some classic cocktails such as the Jupiter Martini.
