An 8 year old Canadian whisky bottled under the Black Velvet Brand, which is ranked as the second most popular Canadian whisky brand, just behind Crown Royal. The brand was originally named “Black Label”, but was changed the “Black Velvet” in the 1940’s, as the master distiller at the time, Jack Napier, thought the whisky had a distinct, velvety mouthfeel.
