A lovely Rosé edition of Bertrand’s Pineau des Charentes.
The historic Cognac house’s take on this classic Cognac aperitif is made using Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grape juice, which is blended with a small amount of one year old eaux-de-vie. The grapes have been grown on 30 year old vines in the Petit Fine Champagne cru.
Following blending, the liqueur is aged in French oak casks from the Limousin and Tronçais forests for a minimum of five years.
The final result is a bright, sweet aperitif with notes of subtle oak spice, Cognac, vanilla, toffee, bright raspberries, red grapes, cassis and cherry.
Serve chilled from the fridge, alongside chocolate and creamy desserts.
