Ben Nevis is a criminally underrated distillery that has a huge cult following. Nestled close to the United Kingdom’s tallest mountain, this distillery produces a wonderfully unctuous spirit produced by traditional methods in an old-fashioned distillery.

This fantastic bottling has been selected by the peerless Signatory Vintage bottling company as part of their stellar Cask Strength range.

This particularly whisky was distilled on the 29th of October 1991 and bottled on the 19th of October 2016, making it just 10 days short of 25 years old. The whisky matured for 24 years in a single sherry butt (cask number 3836). This cask maturation has produced a spirit of superb depth of flavour, with rich dried fruit and spice notes, a little meaty sherry with some marvellous old oak flavours.

Ben Nevis 24 Year Old was bottled at a natural cask strength of 57.8% ABV, giving the flavour of the dram extraordinary power and resonance. As always with Signatory’s Cask Strength range this whisky is bottled without either chill filtration or colouration. This craft production gives the drinker an experience as close as possible to drinking straight from the cask itself.

Just 599 bottles were drawn from this single sherry butt, with the stocks extremely limited. Fans of this fabulous distillery will want to purchase now to avoid disappointment, as we don’t expect this bottle to hang around!
