A 16 year old single malt whisky from the legendary Balvenie distillery, released as part of their Triple Cask range, exclusively for the travel retail market. The three types of casks used for this expressions are first fill American oak barrels, refill casks, and first fill Oloroso sherry butts. Compared to its younger, 12 year old brother, this has been helped immensely by the extra years in the casks, adding extra layers of complexity and more prominent oak and spiciness.
