Another single malt bottling from Ballantine’s, focusing the attention on whiskies that they use to make their super-popular blend.

This time round, they’ve bottled a Glentauchers. A distillery not often seen as a single malt, Glentauchers producers a lighter whisky, with long fermentation times and slow distillation creating a floral style. The spirit has traditionally been associated with Black and White, Buchanan’s and Ballantine’s blends.

This whisky opens with floral notes, alongside touches of red berry, vanilla, banana, apples, warm malt, boiled sweets, hazelnuts and a touch of dried citrus.

A refreshing, and supremely well balanced whisky, 15 years of maturation is perfect for this dram.

Would be a great choice for anyone who is a fan of the Ballantine’s blend.
