Matured in a combination of former Sherry and Bourbon casks for a quarter century, the end product is a complex and decadent whisky.
Expect flavours of rich dark oak, vanilla, figs, sultanas, cherries, nutmeg, almond, cinnamon, honey, dried apricot, white pepper, dark chocolate and walnuts.
A nutty, spicy, fruity dram, this is an excellent achievement from one of the first of the “new wave” of Scotch distilling.
Just 3,000 bottles were made.
