Another excellent edition to the Signatory Un-Chillfiltered range.

This is an 8 year old bottling of Ardmore, a distillery no doubt familiar to many drinkers for its distinctive style of peated Highland malt.

This youthful dram, the product of two former Bourbon casks (numbers 705797 and 705798) which previously held Islay whisky, really showcases the smokiness of this spirit.

Ardmore 8 serves up flavours of crisp smoked barley, apples, pears, ashy peat, slight earth, a touch of Islay sea spray, salted caramel and citrus rind, with some oaky, Bourbon notes of cornbread, vanilla and woodsmoke.

The whisky is bottled at 46% ABV and without either chill filtration or colouration, allowing the drinker to enjoy the natural flavours and body of this bottling.

A delectable dram, at a very nice price point.
