A lovely fresh offering from Knockdhu distillery, “Blas” is Gaelic for “taste”, something this bottling serves up in spades.

The bottling has been created by fashion designer Patrick Grant, and is designed to reflect the character of the distillery, pointing to its Highland heritage and “Modern Tradition”.

The whisky itself brings lots of bright citrus and orchard fruit flavours, with a little vanilla, some warm malt, woodspice and chocolate. The mouthfeel is oily and rich, with a drying, bittersweet finish.

Bottled at a hefty 54% ABV, without chill filtration or artificial colouration, “Blas” is a youthful, vibrant offering from this distillery.
