A nice Bourbon from the American Eagle company.

Unlike the majority of Bourbons, which are distilled in the whiskey’s spiritual home – Kentucky, this dram has been produced in Tennessee. It is a lesser known fact that Bourbon can in-fact be produced anywhere in the United States, even beyond the borders of the Bluegrass State.

This whiskey has been made with a mashbill that includes a whopping 84% corn, ensuring a sweet, buttery and flavoursome final product. After maturation in American oak barrels for four years, the spirit was treated to Tennessee’s famous Lincoln County Process of charcoal filtration.

The final result is a supple, mellow Bourbon with notes of orange rind, sweet corn, buttered biscuits, vanilla, spiced oak, apples, pears, cinnamon spice and fresh cracked black pepper.

Approachable and tasty, this makes a mean Old Fashioned.
