Aberlour is one of the most popular distilleries in Speyside, well known for its delightful, heavily sherried whiskies.

This is an excellent example, an 18 year old dram which sits towards the top of the Aberlour range. For a long time, this whisky was reserved for the French market, where Aberlour is extremely popular.

A well sherried dram, Aberlour 18 serves up notes of almond, hazelnut, raisin, black tea, vanilla ice cream, slightly oily walnut, leather, honeyed malt, lush plums and peaches, cherries, cinnamon, chocolate and nutmeg. Slightly drying finish.

Highly regarded: this was the runner up in the Best Single Malt Scotch (18 Year Old) category at the 2015 International Whisky Competition, and was also awarded 91 points in Jim Murray’s 2018 Whisky Bible.
