The inaugural unpeated single malt Scotch whisky from the Glasgow Distillery. This distillery was the first whisky producer to open in Scotland’s most populous city for more than a century when it was established in 2012.

This dram takes its 1770 title from the year the original Glasgow Distillery opened. This spirit has been distilled in copper pot stills called Mhairi and Tara, and is made with Scottish barley and water from Loch Katrine, found a little way North-West of Glasgow.

After distillation, the whisky has been matured in first-fill Bourbon casks, before a finish in Virgin white oak casks.

The final product is a delightfully tropical whisky, with notes of pineapple, mangos, pears, figs, dried fruits, honey, buttery biscuits, citrus rind, nutmeg, cinnamon, fresh oak, cut grass, cloves, vanilla and toffee.
