A fascinating Genever from the impressive Dutch distillery, Zuidam.

Made entirely with a mash bill of spelt – an ancient grain that is a close relative of wheat – this Genever has a unique and complex flavour profile.

The spirit has been distilled in Zuidam’s traditional red copper pot stills, before a small portion is set aside and redistilled with juniper, liquorice, aniseed and other botanicals. The spirit is then aged for 1 year in oak casks.

The final result is a Genever that offers up notes of intense wheaty bread, oak, vanilla, bittersweet juniper, grain sweetness, liquorice, star anise and subtle spice.

Something entirely different from Zuidam. Sip this spirit neat as you would a whisky or Cognac.
