A cedar wood infused gin – exciting stuff! It all started in the kitchen of Thomas Vørding, a man born and raised in Amsterdam with a burning passion for gin. Following his love for gin, he set out to make his own, first starting in his own kitchen with just a small copper pot, some botanicals, and hand-cut cedar wood chips. The production has now partially moved out of his kitchen, and the gin in now being distilled in Schiedam. We put emphasis on the word “partially”, because it’s said that he still chops the cedar wood chips by hand in his own kitchen! The gin itself is said to be characterized by orange, cinnamon, and subtle spice and smoke from the cedar wood.
