An excellent small batch, cask strength dram from Walsh Whiskey’s The Irishman range.
This is the 11th release in this series, which has been very well received by drinkers and writers alike. The whiskey itself is a combination of Irish single malt, and single pot still spirit, which has been triple distilled and aged in first fill Bourbon casks.
The bottling offers up notes of cinnamon, vanilla, pressed flowers, grain sweetness, milk chocolate, cream, honey, some stone fruits, apples, raspberries, cracked black pepper, toffee and a little grassy malt.
Weighing in at 54% ABV and presented without chill filtration or colouration, this is a high quality, satisfying whiskey.
Just 2,346 bottles were produced.
