A superb single barrel whisky from Van Wees’s The Ultimate Whisky Company range.

This is a 12 year old Glenlivet, a distillery not often seen as an indie bottling, which has been aged in a single first fill sherry hogshead. The whisky was distilled on the 10th of April 2007, and bottled on the 8th of May 2019.

Heavily sherried, this dram delivers notes of dried fruits, nuts, spice, citrus rind, vanilla, dark chocolate, sherry, sweet wine, plums, figs, prunes and deep fudgy toffee, alongside classic Glenlivet notes of apples, pears and malt.

This dram is bottled at a very powerful cask strength of 64.8% ABV, and without chill filtration or colouration, offering the drinker a fully natural experience.

A bold, assertive whisky, just 619 bottles were released.
