A cracking bottling from Dutch bottlers The Ultimate Whisky company.
This is a bottling of Glenlivet, one of the most famous old distilleries in Scotch whisky (indeed, the first to receive a license to distil), rarely seen as an independent bottling.
This whisky was distilled on 10th of April 2007, and has been aged for 12 years in a single first fill sherry butt, as it was bottled on the 8th of May 2019.
Drinkers can expect rich notes of plump figs, plums and raisins, alongside some toasted almonds and hazelnut, vanilla, dark chocolate, toffee, hay, flamed orange peel, baking spices, caramelised apple and pear, and some gently perfumed dried flowers.
This Glenlivet has been bottled at 64.4% ABV and without chill filtration or colouration, offering an intense drinking experience.
It’s Glenlivet 12, but not as we know it! Just 596 bottles were produced.
