A fantastic 10 year old malt whisky from Glenlivet, bottled by the Ultimate Whisky Company. Once again these bottlers prove that they live up to their name with this terrific single cask whisky. Independently bottled Glenlivet is something of a rarity these days, so this is a real treat for fans of the Speyside giant, the second bestselling malt whisky in the world (they must be doing something right then!). This whisky has been matured in a first fill sherry butt for 10 years, having been distilled on the 21st of November 2006 and bottled on the 20th of February 2017. This cask maturation has imparted delicious notes of dried fruit, old oak, baking spices and wine to the natural, classically Speyside Glenlivet notes of green apple, bright malt and cereal sweetness. Truly a beautiful dram, this has been bottled at a slightly over-proof 46% ABV, and without any artificial colouration or chill filtration: as nature intended! Only 863 bottles of this whisky are available worldwide, and once it is finished it is finished, being a single cask bottling.
