One of the most anticipated whiskies in Irish distilling history, when this bottling finally hit the shelves in 2018, it was the first new whiskey to be distilled in Dublin for nearly 50 years.
The release of this whiskey was considered a high point for the Irish distilling renaissance, following the dark days of the late 20th century.
A classic single pot still whisky made with 50% unmalted and 50% malted barley, and triple distilled in the traditional manner. The spirit has been aged in a mixture of virgin oak, Bourbon cask and former wine casks, creating a well balanced and complex whiskey.
Teeling Potstill offers up flavours of verdant herbs, soft spice, bright vanilla oak, buttered corn and grain, grassy malt, juicy notes of melon, apricot, grape and citrus rind.
The whiskey is bottled at 46% ABV, is non chill filtered and bottled without colouration, allowing its natural characteristics to take hold.
A small batch production.
