A lovely bottling from a distillery that claims to be the oldest continuously operating distillery in Scotland, having been established in 1786. The distillery is the home of Chivas Brothers blending operation, with much of their whisky reliant on the malt spirit produced at Strathisla.

This particularly bottle has been carefully selected by the good folk over at The Ultimate Whisky Company. Drawn from a single hogshead (number 800025) this whisky was distilled on the 13th of September 2007 and bottled on the 12 of July 2017, making it 9 years old. At this age, the whisky has just begun to take on some of the qualities of the cask, making this a great opportunity to get to grips with the characteristics of the spirit.

Drinkers should expect notes of toffee, vanilla, toasted malt, bright cereal with some slight oaky fruits and dried citrus peel. Strathisla 9 Year Old is bottled at 46% ABV, without either chill filtration or artificial colouration, allowing the drinker to experience the true nature of this beautiful dram.

Being a single cask release only 347 bottles of this dram are available worldwide, so stocks are extremely limited!
