One of the most distinctive labels in the Distillery Labels series with its unique script and strange use of quotation marks, Gordon & MacPhail’s Strathilsa bottlings always leave their mark.

This dram has been matured in Hogheads for about 12 years, being a 2005 vintage bottled in 2017. The aging process has given this whisky just enough time to develop a fine complexity, whilst maintaining a careful balance between the spirit and the oak.

This Strathilsa offers flavours of gentle oak, crisp malt, butterscotch, stewed orchard fruits, cloves, cinnamon, honey, rye bread, vanilla, star anise, slight sherry and cornbread.

Bottled at 43% ABV for a touch of warmth, and without colouration, this is a weighty, satisfying sipper.
