One of the best cask strength whiskies around, this is Springbank at its best: powerful, fruity, pungent and slightly salty. This mid-2015 batch was matured in 70% sherry casks, with the remainder coming in bourbon casks. Bottled at a healthy cask strength of 53.8%, this is not for the faint of heart, but the extra strength really allows the familiar Springbank flavours to come through. The Campbeltown distillery’s cask strength releases have become a bit of a cult favourite with whisky drinkers, and with expressions like this, it’s easy to see why!
