A Irish single grain whiskey from West Cork distillers.
Skibbereen is a town in County Cork, whose local newspaper, the Skibbereen Eagle famously took on the Tsar of Russia, saying they were “keeping its eye on the Emperor of Russia.” A tale of small-town pluck without doubt!
This dram has been matured in first fill Bourbon casks, imbuing it with flavours of intense vanilla, sweet nuts, toffee, gentle baking spices, creamy oak and subtle baked bread.
Bottled at 43%, this is a warming, polished dram that would make a good base for cocktails.
