Scallywag is a blended malt created by the independent bottler Douglas Laing. The components of this blend are sourced from a variety of well-known Speyside distilleries such as Glenrothes, Mortlach, and Macallan. Bottled at 46% ABV without chillfiltration or colouring, this whisky has a rich, dark colour which is attributed to the fact that 40% of the whiskies in this blend were aged exclusively in the finest, first-fill ex-sherry butts from Spain.
