A well aged Puerto Rican rum bottling from the historic Ron Del Barrilito company.
This rum has been made with molasses and distilled in column stills. It is then aged for between 6 to 10 years in sherry seasoned American oak barrels.
The final result is a rich, nutty rum with notes of crushed banana, pineapple, apricot, oak, vanilla, raisins, citrus rind, almonds, walnut, brown sugar, tobacco and toasted hazelnut.
Best enjoyed neat.
