A delightful, well aged and cask finished rum from Panamanian distillery Abuelo.

This bottling has spent the final part of its long 15 year maturation in Tawny port casks. Tawny ports are fortified wines that have been aged in wood, typically for about 3 years, developing the golden brown colour which suggests their name.

With this rum, the cask has added beautiful notes of cherries, raspberries, strawberries, blackcurrants, sweet wine, red grapes, milk chocolate, oak and pomegranate to the spirit’s natural flavours of dry tropical fruit, lime, black pepper spice and fragrant tobacco.

A wonderful balance of sweet and dry, this is a testament to the effects of a good cask finish.
