A wheated Bourbon at a higher proof!
Rebel Yell dates back to the mid-19th century, and the brand was originally created by William Larue Weller, a legend of the industry.
The whiskey is now produced by an undisclosed distillery in Kentucky, and marketed by the Lux Row Distillers company. A straight Bourbon, this bottling is at least 2 years old, but likely much older.
The result is a soft, bready Bourbon with notes of oak, caramel, vanilla, leather, sweet corn, oily spice, apples, intense spice and toffee.
An intense dram with a spicy profile, this is definitely a bottle for the Wheater fans.
