Pierre Vallet 30 Year Old 1988 (Cask #569)
70 cl, 48%

A magnificent, long aged Cognac from Pierre Vallet.

A modern family-owned Cognac house, the brand was founded in 2010 when one generation of the Vallet family, Michel and Catherine, offered the younger generation, Laurent and Elodie, the chance to create their own range of spirit. The Vallet family are also known for operating the Chateau de Montifaud domain. Cognac Pierre Vallet was named after Laurent’s great great grandfather, who restored the family vineyard to greatness following the devastation of the phylloxera blight at the end of the 19th century.

This particular bottling was distilled in December 1988, and bottled in March 2019, having been aged in a single French Limousin oak cask. It is a Petit Champagne cru Cognac from Jarnac – Champagne.

The Cognac serves up notes of fruity oak, caramel, vanilla, maple syrup, soft flowers, grapes, apples, pears, subtle spice, cedarwood, mahogany, milk chocolate and brown sugar.

A delicious Cognac, bottled at the more powerful 48% ABV and without chill filtration.

Just 480 bottles were produced.
