A terrific single malt Scotch whisky from a mystery Orkney distillery (thought to be Highland Park - the letters ‘HP’ appear very small on the label…), bottled by Signatory Vintage as part of their highly regarded Cask Strength Collection.

This single cask 2005 vintage whisky has been matured in a first fill Oloroso Sherry Butt for 18 years, producing a dram of incredible depth and character.

Drinkers should expect notes of rich red berries (cherries, plums, raspberries), sweet oak, sweet Sherry, toasted almonds and hazelnuts, some figs, caramel, cinnamon, cola-cube candies, malt, some mixed herbs, a hint of smoked grain, heather honey and flamed orange peel.
