Since its release back in 2005, Monkey Shoulder has exploded in popularity, and is now seen as the go-to bottling for bartenders looking for a good quality blended malt.

This edition lends a little smokiness to the original, using peated malt whisky in the blend.

The result is a tropical dram with intricate notes of soft, fruity peat throughout, alongside touches of chewy malt, toffee, vanilla, burnt oak, apples and smoked pork.

Would make an excellent base for a smoky Blood and Sand, or a Penicillin, Smokey Monkey is also good enough to sip neat.
