An exciting German-produced gin.

This gin is made with “Holy Basil” at its core. Holy Basil, also known as tulasi basil, is native to India and forms an essential part of Hindu worship of Vishnu. It also forms a vital part of Thai cuisine, and has a distinctively aromatic herbaceous flavour.

This gin begins with a high-quality wheat neutral grain spirit, giving a creamier mouthfeel than might be expected. To this spirit, ten botanicals are added, including juniper, lavender, winter savoury and the all-important Holy Basil.

This mixture is brewed up with heat, then left to cool for one night. The spirit is then slowly redistilled in a process lasting several days.

Momentum gin is bottled at the higher proof of 44% ABV, and without chill filtration.

The result is a creamy, flavoursome and intense gin, with herbaceous notes of basil, savoury and thyme, some citrus, and some slight floral flavours accompanied by strong piny juniper.
