An artistic and youthful Joven Mezcal, produced in the Tlacolula town of Oaxaca – the spiritual home of Mezcal.
“Green Moment” is made using 100% 8 year old Espadin agave. The hearts of the plant are milled with a traditional Tahona (stone wheel) system and naturally fermented for up to 30 days. The spirit has been double distilled in copper pot stills, and the process is overseen by Mezcal Maestro Doroteo Garcia. This bottling uses a mix of different woods in the cooking process (which lasts 5 days) to create a smokier profile.
This bottling serves up notes of smoked white peach, grassy agave, pineapple, lime, soft wood smoke, peppery smoke, coriander and cinnamon spice.
The name “Green Moment” refers to Amores policy of sustainability – they pay 20% over the market rate for materials and labour, and plant 10 agaves for every one used.
Bottles of this Mezcal differ in their artistic label, but rest assured, the juice is the same in each one.
A superb example of the Joven style, the smokiness of this Mezcal would lend a special something to cocktails.
