Luxardo’s take on the classic anise-flavoured liqueur.

This sweet, reasonably strong liqueur is made with elderberries from Padua and Sicilian green aniseed. The aniseed’s essential oils are extracted through steam distillation and maceration in pure alcohol. The spirit is matured in wooden vats constructed from Finnish ash.

This liqueur serves up some bright piney flavours accompanied by a clean aniseed, some chopped herbs, liquorice, cracked pepper, a touch of wood spice and a little juicy berry. Bittersweet and balanced.

Excellent served ice cold as a shot.
