The 2018 bottling of this much loved offering from Longrow.

Produced by Campbeltown distillery Springbank, this whisky is double distilled (unlike Springbank which is partially triple distilled, and Springbank’s unpeated series, Hazelburn, which is triple distilled).

Longrow is known for possessing a powerful and thick character. The whisky has been matured for 18 years in a mixture of 75% sherry casks and 25% Bourbon barrels, creating a dense and flavoursome final product.

The final product serves up flavours of smoked oak, rich peat, forest floor, umami, oats, apple, dried fruits, orange zest, chilli, pepper, cinnamon, cloves, honey, and slight oil. This is an extremely full bodied whisky.

Bottled at 46% ABV and without chill filtration or colouration, the rich character of this dram is on full show.
