Another superb bottling from the aptly named Ultimate Whisky Company. This time round it’s a cracking bottle of 7 year old Ledaig, bottled at cask strength. Ledaig (pronounced Le-Chaig) is the name given to the peated spirit produced at Tobermory, the only distillery on the Isle of Mull.

This bottling is in many ways a classic Ledaig, demonstrating the whisky’s distinctive oily, coastal nature, and slight tarry fruits. This bottling is rich in vanilla and caramel flavours, having been aged in a single Bourbon barrel (cask number 700384) for its maturation.

Distilled on the 21st of June 2010, this whisky was bottled on the 26th of July 2017 at a formidable cask strength of 60.9% ABV. This robust proof ensures that the flavours and aromas of the dram can fully express themselves. The whisky is also bottled without either chill filtration or artificial colouration, allowing its natural characteristics to take hold.

A single barrel release, just 233 bottles of this dram are available worldwide, meaning stocks are extremely limited.
