Ledaig is a tremendous whisky brand, produced by the highly underrated Tobermory distillery, the only distillery on the Isle of Mull. Ledaig (pronounced Le-Chaig) is the name given to Tobermory’s peated spirit, which is in limited production at the distillery.

This particular bottling was picked out by the mighty Ultimate Whisky Company, an independent bottler with a great reputation for picking out some of the very best casks around.

This whisky was distilled on the 6th of April 2009, and bottled on the 5 of December 2016, having aged in a single hogshead for 7 years. This maturation process has produced a whisky which is youthful and vibrant, but has had just enough aging to round off any rough edges to the spirit.

This whisky has been bottled at 46% ABV, and without either chill filtration or unnatural colouration. This means the whisky’s inherent flavours and aromas can take hold, unadulterated.

Just 397 bottles of this fabulous dram were produced, meaning that drinkers should move fast if they want to add this whisky to their collection!
