A truly fascinating world whisky, from Switzerland! Langatun is a distillery founded in 2007, though the proprietary family have been brewing and distilling for over 100 years. The distillery is based in a former grain store. This particularly whisky is a fascinating one, triple distilled to give a pure, clean spirit, before being matured in ex-Chateauneuf-du-Pape casks. The whisky is also heavily peated, giving another layer of complexity. The bear on the label is a tribute to the founding family’s brewery, which featured a bear as its logo. The whisky is a huge bold, peat monster, with notes of dried fruit, barbequed meat and plums. Please note that this is a 50cl bottling.
