The Knockando distillery which means “little black hill” in Gaelic, is a distillery which always manages to slip under the radar, even for the more seasoned whisky drinkers. That is not entirely deserved, though, as this 18 year old whisky from the Knockando distillery is quite delicious, with a delicate and rich profile of deep almond notes, sweet hints of sherry and a light oak influence leading to a long and warm finish. It was distilled in 1994.
