The Knappogue Castle 16 Year Old is an Irish single malt whisky distilled at a mystery Irish distillery. This whisky is labeled “twin wood” which implies the usage of two different casks types. In this case, the whisky spent the first 14 years of its maturation in traditional ex-bourbon casks, and the last 21 months of its maturation in Oloroso sherry casks. The final products is bottled at an ABV of 46% for a more full-bodied and flavourful whisky.
