Here’s an interesting bottle: a Dutch single malt that isn’t from Millstone!

This exciting bottling is produced at the Kalwijck distillery, which has been in production since 2009.

A small batch bottling, distilled on the 8th of November 2014 and bottled on the 4th of April 2018, the whisky was aged in Oloroso sherry casks.

A youthful, spritely dram with plenty of malty, grain sweetness, and a good dose of complexity from the sherry cask maturation – touches of dried fruit, sweet sherry, grapes, citrus and pressed flowers.

Bottled at a warming 49.7% ABV and without chill filtration or colouring, this is an impressive whisky from a young distillery.
