Another superior Grande Champagne Cognac from Grosperrin’s “Les Lots” range.
This spirit was produced a small farm located in the centre of the Grande Champagne terroir, which is known for producing spectacular eaux-de-vie. The family who own the farm have a very limited stock, and Grosperrin were only able to pick up about ten bottles. The casks that this Cognac matured in were stored in a clay-floored cellar at the estate.
The final result is a vivid, yet sophisticated Cognac, that offers up notes of polished wood, some flinty minerals, honeysuckle, iris, white pepper, subtle rancio, citrus, nutmeg, a little balsamic, soft grapes, dried apricot, old oak and a little forest floor.
A remarkable spirit that reflects its terroir perfectly. The Cognac was bottled at 44.3% ABV for extra body and warmth.
Each bottle comes accompanied by a handsome presentation box.
