A delightful vintage Cognac from the premier cru of Petite Champagne, bottled by arguably the foremost Cognac bottlers, Grosperrin.
This vintage Cognac has been produced by a small estate in the village of Salles-de-Barbezieux, a rural commune in the Petite Champagne cru. A traditional farm, the estate also keeps livestock and grows grain in addition to maintaining a small vineyard.
The vines grown on limestone rich soil, perfect for growing highly flavoursome grapes, that produce elegant, refined eaux-de-vie in the Petite Champagne style.
The final product is a beautiful and complex Cognac that offers up notes of dried fruits, pressed flowers, rancio, dusty oak, caramelised orange rind, vanilla, nutmeg, allspice, dried apricots, subtle milk chocolate, a little leaf tobacco and cedarwood.
Bottled at 47.4% ABV for extra body and depth, this is a wonderfully well crafted spirit.
