A stupendously well aged Port wine from the Gran Cruz Port House, which dates back to 1887.
Gran Cruz state that this fortified wine has been produced from “red grape varieties”, before being aged in oak casks for 20 years until it reaches perfect maturity.
The final product is a Port wine that offers notes of subtle dried fruits, dark oak, caramel, walnuts and toffee. Gran Cruz suggest enjoying the wine alongside scallops, duck or cinnamon flavoured desserts.
This delectable Port would also make an excellent after dinner drink!
