Another terrific modern gin to come out of the spirit’s birthing ground in Holland. Produced by the Jopen company, who are also well established brewers in the region, operating out of a former church in the Haarlemmermeer area of the northern Netherlands, hence “Gospel”. In homage to their brewing roots, this gin is made with the earthy Mittelfrüh-hop, and the very intriguing botanical ingredient of parsnips! Also prominent is the ingredient of paradise seeds, a spicy botanical which gives a little kick and edge to this gin. Overall, this is a dry, earthy gin with a little bitterness from the hops and spice from the paradise seeds. Next time you have a hankering, why not mix up and G&T, that is, Gospel and Tonic!
